Waterford Upstart comes with a laptop computer loaded with online software that adapts literacy lessons to match the learning level of the child using the program.
If a household needs internet access in order to access the software, then that is provided.
The computer belongs to the family at the end of the program.
Optional math and science lessons are included with the program.
Waterford Upstart is done in the home, which means there is no classroom teacher to administer the program. So families get a coach who reaches out with teaching tips and ideas for family engagement.
