Free to enter and open to swimmers of all ages — residents and visitors compete for the fastest time and the honor of flipping the switch to turn on the Festival of Lights of the English Village . \nThe swim course will move a little south for the first time this year and take place in the Channel on the side of the London Bridge nearest to the London Bridge Resort! \nRegistration for the race takes place at 5pm on Nov 24 at the docks of the Heat Hotel\, located directly across the channel from London Bridge Resort. It is free to register. The swim will then finish at the docks by the Dixie Bell\, on the London Bridge Resort-side of the Channel. The swim race scheduled from 6-6:30pm with the Festival of Lights to commence immediately after. The first place swimmer will receive $250\, the second place will receive $100 and the third place will receive $50. \nCome out and brave the Bridgewater Channel! \nEvent dates and times are subject to change. Entry to Cruise Night is free for spectators. \nFriday and Saturday Show & Shine\, Car Corral and Swap Meet takes place from 8am-4pm at the Bridgewater Links Golf Course at London Bridge Resort. Experience the dazzling array of the finest classic cars and trucks on display from across the nation. There will be plenty of shopping for everyone in our large vendor area. DESCRIPTION:The return of this epic powerboat racing event will be conducted by the prestigious Formula 1 Powerboat Championship\, renowned for its heart thumping high-horsepower racing excitement performed by world class international powerboat racing stars! \nThe race headquarters and free fan viewing will be at the Nautical Beachfront Resort at 1000 McCulloch Blvd. N\, overlooking Thompson Bay\, which long-time powerboat fans will remember as being the original location of the championships dating back to 1964. \nRacing fans will enjoy three full days of action-packed excitement featuring three classes each day: Formula 1; Tri-Hull and Formula Lights. \nThe city’s founder\, Robert P. McCulloch\, Jr. was the first to initiate the outboard championships at Lake Havasu in 1964\, and with his visionary skills\, the race soon became a Lake Havasu Thanksgiving weekend tradition\, drawing competitors from every corner of the globe for high stakes cash and prizes.
