The parade begins at McCulloch and Acoma Blvd and proceeds to Capri Blvd\, showcasing the city’s community pride and festive spirit.  \nThe London Bridge\, originally spanning the River Thames in London\, has a rich history dating back to its construction by Peter of Colechurch between 1176 and 1209. The current bridge\, designed by John Rennie and completed in 1831\, was sold to American businessman Robert McCulloch in 1968. McCulloch relocated the bridge to Lake Havasu City\, Arizona\, transforming it into a central tourist attraction. The reconstruction involved transporting and reassembling the bridge’s granite blocks\, creating an iconic landmark that has drawn millions of visitors and significantly contributed to the city’s growth and popularity.

We provide high school scholarships\, grants to teachers\, turkeys at Thanksgiving\, books to children\, and playgrounds throughout the area.

This dinner fundraiser will be held at the Shugrue’s Bridgeview Room from 5:00 p.m.-8 p.m.\n\nSpecial guest speaker is Mike Justus.\n\nMike Justus grew up in a beach community in Goleta\, Calif.\, surfing\, motorcycle riding and doing action sports as a child.\n\nAll of his action sports led to a career as a stuntman\, stunt driver\, stunt double and stunt coordinator in some of the biggest films in the movie industry.\n\nSome of these movies include “Terminator 2”\, “Titanic”\, “Transformers”\, “300”\, “Gone in 60 Seconds”\, “Rat Race”\, “Live Free Die Hard”\, and was a stunt driver in “Fast and Furious”.\nHe also was a stunt double for John Travolta in “Swordfish”\, Harrison Ford in “Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull”\, Ben Aflec in “Batman Vs. Superman”\, and Hugh Jackman in “Van Helsing”.\n\nOne of the most iconic movies he’s known for is his stunts in “Iron Man”. He doubled Robert Downey Jr. and he is the man in the Iron Man suit throughout the movie.\n\nA silent auction will also be held as well as photo ops with Mike Justus.\n\nTickets for this event are $100 a person with the money going towards the Clothes Closet. Dinner will be an Italian meal.\n\nTickets can be purchased at Lin’s Little China\, National Bank of Arizona and the Clothes Closet. Tickets will be available for purchase Monday\, September 9.\n\nFor those Marvel fans unable to attend event\, but would like to have a photo op with Mike\, at 8-8:30 p.m.\, doors will remain open for you to come by and meet him for a donation to the Clothes Closet.
